David C. Berry (Dave), CEO, CPP – Chief Executive Officer
Dave Berry brings over 25 years of credit card processing experience. Earlier in Dave’s merchant services career he a developed 3 ½ day training program for new account executives at National Processing Company (NPC).
Dave spent 16 years at NPC and held many successful positions with the company including:
Account Executive, Regional Training Manager, National Training Manager, District Sales Manager, VP Sales Midwest Region, VP Major Account Management, Vice President – ISO Business Development
Between 2001 and 2005 as the Regional Vice President of National Processing company had the responsibility of managing 65 Account Executives in a three-state footprint. The Account Executive team supported over 900 National City Bank branches with a 1.5-billion-dollar merchant portfolio. Dave’s award-winning team was the top preforming region in the country for NPC.
In 2012 Dave joined TSYS Merchant Solutions as Vice President of Financial Institution Relationship Management. At TSYS, Dave managed a team of 10 people that supported over 300 regional and community financial institutions across the country. Dave traveled throughout the USA and met with executives of the top 25 financial institutions in the TSYS portfolio to re-establish good relationships, renegotiate referral agreements and establish new benchmarks for improved merchant customer service
Dave left corporate America in late 2012 and founded Card$avvy Consulting LLC. CardSavvy has a merchant portfolio with over $240 million in annual volume.
Carmen Gates, CPP – Chief Operating Officer
As one of the founders and the COO of Trifecta Payment Solutions Carmen brings 25 years of credit card processing experience along with 17 years of experience with financial institution partnerships, portfolio conversions, and relationship management. Carmen started her career in the payment processing industry in 1994 and has worked for some of the largest payment processors in the nation. Throughout her vast industry tenure, she has forged valuable industry relationships that have allowed Trifecta Payment Solutions to attain highly competitive pricing and leverage exceptional service and support from its vendors.
From 1994 – 2000 Carmen began her career in the payment processing industry with Discover Financial Services (Discover Card) and quickly became a top-producing Account Executive acquiring new merchant accounts throughout Missouri and Southern Illinois.
In 2000, Carmen joined National Processing Company (NPC) as a District Manager to build out a sales team and manage financial institution relationships in Missouri, Southern Illinois, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Carmen was then transitioned to AVP of Middle-Market Sales where she solely supported the Commercial and Treasury Management divisions of National City Bank in St. Louis. Carmen gained extensive knowledge and success working side-by-side with the National City bankers and their bank clients processing between $1M – $100M annually in card processing volume.
In 2006, Carmen left Corporate America and founded Point of Sale Consultants where she brought her vast array of experience and knowledge in the payments industry to form a reliable and integrity-driven company that is committed to providing a “concierge” level of service and support to its valuable merchants all across the U.S. Now, in 2020, she has partnered with two of the best talents in the industry to form Trifecta Payment Solutions for strictly High-Risk merchant accounts.
Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Carmen is deeply rooted within the St. Louis community. Carmen has served on the Advisory Board for National Processing Company and West Bridge Bank. She served as President of the CLZ Boosterz for two years and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the St. Louis Boys Baseball Association.
Carmen is certified by the payment industry’s Electronic Transaction Association (ETA) as an ETA Certified Payment Professional (CPP).
Dragos Enea, MBA, CPP – President
Mr. Enea is an experienced and dynamic sales executive with a keen memory for detail, a sophisticated problem-solving approach and a leadership record of results in revenue creation and profit contribution. He’s been working in this industry for more than 22 years.
Driven by results and client retention goals, he always takes pride in providing world class, concierge level customer service along with an unparalleled industry experience to all of our clients.
Relaxed, articulate communicator and presenter with superb quantitative skills and a quick grasp of complex financial issues. He is extremely effective in building loyal partnerships and alliances based on accessibility, business acumen, follow-through and trust.
His passion for the bankcard processing industry and the acquiring segment in particular, can be traced back to his roots working for NPC where he spent significant time working on serving entire banking channels across a multi-state area. During his years in the industry, he won numerous awards and certifications.
Based in St. Louis – Missouri, Dragos acts as the primary liaison between our firm and your staff. He ensures all ongoing project items are completed and provisioned consistent with your expectations. Dragos is the Relationship Management Executive de-facto and facilitates periodic project update calls funneling information between entities to ensure all communications remain streamlined.
Dragos holds a degree in mathematics from the University of Milan, Italy and an MBA in Business Management and International Finance from University of Missouri, Columbia. Dragos also possesses several coveted industry certifications (including the CPP certification). He is an active member of the Navient Advisory Board and is fluent in three languages: English, Italian and Romanian.
In addition, Dragos also served as a senior project manager for large government payment processing projects such as: State of New Mexico Magistrate Courts, San Joaquin County Courts in California, Orange County Court system, Douglas County Treasury in Colorado, State of New Jersey Surcharge Program, etc.
